January Information Meeting: Serious Mental Illness, Treatment Stages and Options

Featuring: Dr. Frank Pieri, UNM Psychiatry Dept.

Dr. Pieri has had a distinguished career in psychiatry over the past 32 years, graduating from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1982 and completing his psychiatry residency at the University of Chicago.

During his career he has shown a consistent commitment to quality patient care in a variety of settings, including community service, the education of medical students, training of psychiatric residents and, most recently over the past five years, the unique experience of developing a program to provide training, supervision and mentoring for psychiatric nurse practitioners in an underserved rural community in New Mexico.

Dr. Pieri is involved in direct patient care, administrative development and teaching psychiatric residents in their outpatient clinics. He is also responsible for leading the development of a training program for psychiatric nurse practitioners.
