Peer to Peer
Peer-to-Peer is a FREE and confidential 8-session educational program for adults living with mental health conditions. It provides an educational setting focused on recovery that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope. The program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for treatment approaches. It meets once a week for approximately 2 1/2 hours and is taught by trained peer leaders living in recovery themselves. Participants have used words like “Peer to Peer gave me hope”, I am now aware that I’m not alone” and “I’ve learned how to cope with my triggers better” to describe this program.
