SF County’s Behavioral Health Plan

SANTA FE COUNTY RELEASES ITS 2019-2024 BEHAVIORAL HEALTH STRATEGIC PLAN

Santa Fe County recently released its Behavioral Health strategic plan, a document which uses the results of a gap analysis to identify areas in need of service augmentation and/or improvement. The report highlights the following:

· Priority areas In need of special attention are prevention and early intervention, directed at both individuals and families

· Collaboration between government and private sector entities needs improvement

· The County’s role is not solely as a service provider, but a convener and coordinator

· Priority service areas in need of augmentation are housing, behavioral health issues themselves, better service coordination through the use of navigators, and better understanding of the social determinants that impede improvement.
