What to Expect when Calling 911 in Santa Fe County
Approximately one in four calls the City of Santa Fe Fire Department (SFFD) responds to are for behavioral health issues.
In this presentation, Andrés Mercado (Mobile Integrated Health Officer for SFFD), Chief Padilla, Sheriff Mendoza, and representatives from the RECC will explain what family members can expect from SFFD personnel on a 911 call.
Andrés will also present some of the initiatives SFFD has launched to be more proactive and to be better allies to those struggling with behavioral health issues. Most importantly, Andrés will listen to your experiences to better understand the challenges and opportunities in our system from the perspective of the community we are entrusted to serve.
